Valley Breeze: Town's new Planner Wiegand learning on the job

NORTH PROVIDENCE - Newly appointed Town Planner Brent Wiegand says he's “still figuring it all out” when it comes to how North Providence functions and the issues facing its residents, and he's promising to get up to speed quickly.

The 29-year-old Wiegand, the former planning technician in Narragansett, said his new place of employment is facing much different issues than his former community, with much less open space and far different issues cropping up, and he's conversing with everyone he can to learn on the job. The town's comprehensive plan really lays it all out, he said.
