Tenant Network RI: Hosting Virtual Rally on 05/28
Tenant Network RI is hosting a virtual rally and caravan around the State House on 5/28 to urge Gov. Raimondo to respond to the housing crisis facing Rhode Islanders right now.
We are demanding a complete eviction moratorium, cancellation of rent and mortgage payments, and forgiveness of all prior rent and mortgage payment obligations during the declared state of emergency and for 120 days after it is lifted.
On Thursday, May 28, beginning at 12:30 pm, we will be protesting at the RI State House, including pre-determined socially distanced protesters on the courtyard and lawn, an automotive parade on the streets around the State House, and a virtual portion to livestream our protest and host speakers dedicated to our cause of housing as a human right!
