ProJo: Raimondo hopes to use Medicaid money to help the homeless during coronavirus crisis

PROVIDENCE -- The Raimondo administration is seeking permission to use $5.1 million in federal Medicaid dollars to, at least temporarily, pay for food, rent and mobile phone minutes for the homeless.

Governor Raimondo spelled out the rationale for the waiver request during a 27-minute interview on the Apple podcast “A Healthy Dose.”

“We are trying to get creative,″ she said.
