Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston offers training on June 1

You are invited to join the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston for an AHP training session on Wednesday, June 1 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, 801 Greenwich Avenue in Warwick, Rhode Island.

A special morning session (9:00- 10:30) will be held for the bank's financial partners, which includes commercial and community banks, credit unions, insurance companies and other members of the Bank. Developers, community partners and members of the Bank are invited to join the group in the afternoon (11:00- 2:30) for a general AHP training.

Enterprise Community Partners: Community Developments: Affordable Housing Hearing, Homes for Elderly People

  • Today the Senate Finance Committee held a hearing on "America's Affordable Housing Crisis: Challenges and Solutions." In a bipartisan show of support for affordable housing, members of the committee from both sides of the aisle acknowledged the need for more affordable housing and the role of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (Housing Credit) as our nation’s primary tool for increasing the supply. The Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act (S. 548) featured prominently in the discussion, and there were numerous comments from witnesses as well as members of the committee about the need to strengthen and expand the Housing Credit.

FHLBB: Register for AHP Application training - RI Training CANCELLED!

Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston has approximately $16.5 million available as grants and interest-rate subsidy to support the production and preservation of affordable housing initiatives.

The Affordable Housing Program application round opens on July 17. The round closes on September 6.

The trainings offer valuable information to help developers and sponsors with their funding applications.
