  • As part of the National Housing Week of Action, affordable housing activists and members of Congress gathered on Capitol Hill to bring attention to the nation’s affordable housing crisis. The group called for further investments in housing solutions that help low-income families keep a roof over their heads. The event included speeches by U.S. Representatives and Senators, as well as individuals who have benefited from federal housing programs. The rally was one of more than 60 events happening across the country this week. (WAMU 88.5, July 27)
